Pastor John Piroski

Pastor John Piroski was born in the former Yugoslavia as the second son of an ordained Seventh-day Adventist minister. From an early age, he was immersed in the joy of knowing Jesus Christ and the beauty of ministry. At the age of 15, he accepted Christ, and by 24, he embraced God's calling to serve. His greatest desire is to follow God’s will, love Him wholeheartedly, and share that love with His people through the power of His Word.

An ordained minister of the Gospel in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor John has dedicated his life to serving God’s kingdom and His people. He currently pastors Columbus First Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he continues to serve the Columbus community with devotion and passion. He and his wife, Carmen, were married in July 1987, and they cherish their marriage as a special blessing from their Heavenly Father. Together, they have three wonderful children: Hannah, Luka, and Noah.

Pastor John’s greatest dream is to see people from every nation, tribe, and tongue come to salvation. His daily joy is witnessing the Holy Spirit at work, drawing souls into God’s kingdom—a privilege he treasures deeply. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel, proclaiming the selfless, unconditional love of Jesus Christ. His guiding Bible verse is:

"For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." – 1 Corinthians 2:2 (ESV)

Beyond his pastoral ministry and work as a school chaplain, Pastor John enjoys the outdoors—whether walking, skiing, swimming, or mountain biking. He also finds joy in reading and music. He and Carmen delight in watching their children grow in faith and education, with Hannah and Luka attending Southern Adventist University and Noah beginning his journey at Columbus Adventist School.

With a heart devoted to God and a passion for His people, Pastor John continues to serve the Columbus community and beyond—teaching, ministering, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the world.
